Domhnall (pron. "Dom-un-hall" as opposed to "Doe-nal") is the captain of the Quaartheinian Royal Guard. He's an extremely skilled fighter, and is the owner of the Ring of the Inferno. He is also a fusion, though he keeps this a secret.

Character[]

Appearance[]

Domhnall wears mostly metal armour, with slightly spiked shoulders, and an extravagant plume on his helmet. The colours of said armour are a mixture of greys and reds. Beneath his armour, Domhnall is a relatively slim person, with short blond hair, and a light beard.

Personality[]

He is generally an agreeable person, though he often abandons all sentiment to ensure justice is served, meaning that he's a deadly enemy if you're some sort of criminal. Having said that, his idea of justice isn't always based on law; he often questions his higher-ups, and has been known to speak out against his own emperor occasionally. In general, he's kind-hearted, but righteous to an extreme extent.

Skills/Abilities[]

Domhnall wields a very long spear in his right hand, and a rapier in his left, utilising both weapons to the greatest of his ability. Whilst using the Ring of The Inferno, he also has control over fire, often coating his weapons in pure flames.

History[]

It is known that Domhnall trained in the royal guard, and after many years became the captain of said royal guard. At some point between him joining and becoming the captain, he took up pyromancy as a hobby. Apparently, he came across the Ring of The Inferno and quickly surpassed his mentor in skill, becoming the best pyromancer in all of Quaartheim.

Trivia[]

  • Many members of the Royal Guard do not trust Domhnall, in truth, as he has shown little dedication towards the end goals of the Empire.
  • Domhnall is often shunned by his soldiers, despite his high ranking, due to the fact that he utilises pyromancy as opposed to cryomancy. Pyromancy is considered to be a weakling's tool, due to its relatively gentle learning curve; cryomancy, on the other hand, is considered to be a symbol of strength and willpower, due to its much steeper learning curve.
  • He is known to have a sort of rivalry with SwagLord, though it's unknown if SwagLord shares the sentiment.
  • Given how Domhnall acts when his alternate conscious is in control, it seems that his other half was in fact a lycanthrope, hence his beastly behaviour when confronted by Ivan in Fendreic prison.
